Little Miracles Montessori celebrated Vesak as all the Buddhists around the world commemorate the birth, enlightenment (nirvana), and death (parinirvana) of Gautama Buddha.
As a part of the commitment towards humanity to spread peace, goodwill, and compassion throughout the world, children conducted a Dansela where children donated a cup of hot milo to hundreds of people who were passing by the school.
In class, children discussed about visiting temples, acts of charity, chanting and offerings to the symbols of Buddha. Irrespective of their religious backgrounds, everyone came in traditional religious attires and props. Celebrating different religious and cultural events is the best way to connect with different communities and build solidarity.
