Our programs are based on the educational pedagogy that focuses on the individual child and his needs. When we begin developing a sense of empowerment and experimentation in children from the toddler years, they learn how to become resilient lifelong learners.
Children at two years of age seek to explore their natural curiosity and continuously develop essential skills. The Junior Program of Little Miracles Montessori Academy focuses on providing young children from the age of 2 – 3 ½ years a learning environment that encourages a healthy development in all spheres including social & emotional, language & communication, cognitive (critical thinking & problem-solving), and physical development. Our junior Curriculum has been very thoughtfully curated on the basis that each child has his own individuality and development stride, and that no two children are the same.
With these objectives at the forefront, we introduce a wide variety of engaging, and enjoyable Montessori-based activities such as matching objects, dry & wet pouring, chopping, transferring, early literacy, and basic mathematical concepts in a prepared environment that will give your two-year-old the chance to discover the love of learning from an early age.
Our Pre-K curriculum is designed to further enhance children’s cognitive, physical, and social skills development in fun ways. Hands-on learning is an essential element of our pedagogy. Then, as children approach Kindergarten, their interests become more varied and advanced, and they begin to show increased interest in learning that builds on the earlier developed skills and abilities. Reading is a key area in our curriculum throughout. Pre-K students are exposed to literature through stories, poems, and rhymes, since we believe reading is an essential ingredient of building language skills, self-awareness, and developing empathy and emotional intelligence. Reading Corner in its small way is designed to build early comprehension and inferencing skills through utilizing picture clues, wondering, and making predictions.
Pre-writing skills and math concepts such as pre-number experiences, numerals, value of money, time & space, and shapes are typically introduced to Pre-K students. Cultural subjects that include Science, History and Geography respond to the innate curiosity of Pre-K children. General life skills, grace, courtesy, cleaning, food preparation and practical life activities are geared toward creating a holistic, independent child.
Kindergarten is a time when children are looking forward to primary school which comes with many new social, emotional, and learning challenges. Little Miracles Montessori Academy prepares the Kindergarteners to cope with this by assigning them with greater sense of responsibility throughout this year. Kindergarten curriculum will include the five main academic areas, which are specially designed to nurture a lifelong love of learning.
We assist children at this age to choose activities for themselves with just the right level of a challenge to ensure continued knowledge acquisition.
