Colour Days

Colour is one of the most noticeable attributes of the world around us. For children, understanding colour is a complex cognitive task and an essential building block they will use for learning in all areas of their lives. We do fun craft activities to develop this foundational skill. We dedicate at least 2 days per term for a colour starting with primary colours and then moving on to secondary colours.

Children and Educators at Little Miracles Montessori dress up according to the colour theme and get involved in many colour-based activities such as color sorting games, color hunts, painting and coloring, story time with color books and themed snacks and crafts. Colour Day is a wonderful way to introduce young children to colours in an enjoyable, memorable format. Each activity helps build visual, motor, and cognitive skills while making learning joyful and colorful!
